Book your annual service

As part of your lease terms and conditions, you must maintain your product, as instructed in your manual, as misuse can cause damage or affect safety. Booking an annual service with your dealer is the best way to keep it in top condition. Your dealer will be in touch when it's due, but it's worth setting a reminder too. Your dealer should do an annual service.

Store it safely

Keep your product locked and secure in a dry, sheltered space such as a garage or shed. If it's being stored for a while, it is still important to give it a regular charge. In cold weather, bring your product inside. If you store it outside, you must have a waterproof cover to protect it from damp and dirt. If it does get wet, dry it as soon as you can.

Don't overload it

Your scooter or powered wheelchair is designed for one person, so avoid carrying heavy bags on the back or hanging them from the handlebars.

Charge smart

To keep your battery healthy, charge it every evening after use and avoid letting it run flat. Use the charger supplied and check cables for wear. Your user manual explains the best charging routine.

Keep it secure

It's your responsibility to park and store your product securely. Use a lock whenever you leave it unattended.

Plan ahead

Make sure you have enough charge for your journey. Think about your route and any uneven ground, and carry your charger when you can.

Check tyre pressure

Low tyre pressure can reduce your range and affect how your product handles.

Get to know your freewheel mode

Your freewheel mode lets you move the scooter or wheelchair manually when it isn't powered. It can be one of the first things to check if your product won't drive. If you're unsure, ask your dealer. Use your product as instructed in your manual, as misuse can cause damage or affect safety.

Don't forget...

Check your user manual or speak to your dealer if you are in any doubt. You will also need to ensure that you return your product in good condition at the end of your lease.
