ArtWorks Together is hosting its third festival celebrating adult artists with learning disabilities and/or autism at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield until Sunday 31 May 2026.

The exhibition features shortlisted works by 70 artists from 21 countries. “This is definitely the most ambitious festival we have done so far. This year we have more art pieces from all over the world,” says Gemma Woffinden, Festival Producer.

“The work is a mixture of bright pieces that are really joyful, some about nature or celebrating being in a city, and others shining a light on the lived experience of people with learning disabilities and autism. You can expect to see sculptures, portraits, films and more,” she adds.

ArtWorks Together is dedicated to giving adult artists with autism and learning disabilities the platform they deserve. Their mission is to help these creators showcase their talents to the world and gain vital recognition within the mainstream arts sector.

Gemma has been pleasantly surprised with the feedback she has received during the festival so far: “I remember one MA student who travelled especially to see the exhibition who was moved as he had never seen an exhibition that was fully dedicated to the work of artists with a learning disability and or autism”.
