Behind the scenes at Motability Scheme Live, Northern Ireland

Step inside the action! We headed to Belfast this September for our very first Motability Scheme Live, Northern Ireland – and spoke to visitors and exhibitors

It was great to meet so many Lifestyle readers at Motability Scheme Live, Northern Ireland at Eikon Exhibition Centre on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to hear everyone’s thoughts and share plenty of laughs at our photo stand. Visitors struck poses, made boomerangs and created fun gifs. Watch highlights in our special behind-the-scenes video.

There was a wide range of activities and experiences, including test-driving both adapted and standard cars; learning about the future of EVs; trying out scooters and powerchairs and Team BRIT race simulations.

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend filled with connection, innovation and accessibility – and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to a Motability Scheme Live event next year.

[Dilveen] Hi guys, my name is Dilveen. We’re here today at the Eikon Centre, for Motability Scheme Live. We’ve had a lot of people come down and take pictures. We had nice conversations with everyone.

[Visitor] I am here today to see what is perhaps new in the range. And I'm also here to check out the cars. My Motability car will be due for renewal this coming year and I'm particularly interested in a car that has a large boot that can take my wheelchair.

[Motability Scheme team member] So far so good. We've had a lot of people come and go. I work on the electric vehicle team, so a lot of questions about EVs, charging points. So far, it’s been a good day.

[Visitors] How's your day going? My day has been going really well.  You’ve been talking to people? I have been talking to loads of people. Everyone is so, so friendly, and will definitely help you, throughout your journey up here.
