Microsoft has announced that all Xbox games will now include accessibility tags, providing clear and consistent information about each game’s accessibility features.
Players can find these tags on a game’s store page, which gives details of the accessibility features, such as ‘large and clear subtitles’ or ‘playable without button holds’. The tags can also be used as filters in the Xbox Store, making it easier to find games that meet your needs.
Meanwhile, the mobile app industry is catching up – Apple has announced that ‘accessibility nutrition labels’ are coming to the App Store this year. They will help users decide if an app is suitable for them before downloading.
